Ensuring Food Safety & Durability: Shunda HVAC Ventilation System in Vietnam Seafood Plant

Maintaining impeccable air quality and equipment longevity in a high-humidity, saline environment is a constant challenge for coastal seafood processors. A renowned processing plant in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, faced precisely this issue. Their existing ventilation systems in the cleaning and packaging areas were succumbing to rapid corrosion due to constant exposure to moist, salty air. This led to frequent breakdowns, compromised hygiene control, and rising maintenance costs.


Seeking a reliable, long-term solution, the plant partnered with Shunda HVAC. After a thorough assessment, our engineers recommended and installed a set of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) 4-72 Centrifugal Fans. Key to this solution was the material choice. The FRP construction offers exceptional resistance to salt spray corrosion, ensuring the fan housings and impellers remain intact and efficient in this aggressive atmosphere.


The fans were configured to provide steady and efficient air exchange, removing humid air and odors from the processing line while introducing fresh air. The smooth inner surface of the FRP housing also minimizes dust accumulation, aligning with the plant's strict food safety protocols.

The Result: Since the installation, the ventilation system has operated flawlessly for over 18 months with zero corrosion-related issues. The plant manager reported a significant drop in maintenance interventions and praised the system for contributing to a more stable and compliant production environment.
