The stainless steel explosion-proof damper is aritical safety device installed in ventilation systems, primarily designed to prevent the propagation of explosions, flame, and pressure waves between connected spaces or equipment in hazardous environments. It is widely used in industrial field where flammable gases, vapors, dust or combustible materials are present (e.g., chemical factories, coal mines, grain processing facilities, and oil refineries).

In general operation, the damper keeps open to allow air or gas flow, ensuring proper ventilation. However, when an explosion occurs (detected by pressure sensors, flame detectors, or direct impact from explosion pressure), it quickly closes to form a physical barrier, containing the explosion within the initial zone and protecting adjacent areas, equipment, and personnel from secondary damage.

Packing & Shipping
